Thermoplastic elastomers

Thermoplastic elastomer TPE (a.k.a. TPV, TPR) is a modern engineering material with excellent electrical and mechanical properties and good chemical resistance to the chemicals used at airfields. TPE also has very good resistance to weathering, its insulation withstands UV-radiation and ozone exposure. The material is also resistant to the effects of temperature below 135ºC.

TPE offers the potential for reduced system costs, reduced weight, and recyclability compared to materials such as thermoset rubber or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. EFLA has been molding TPEs for almost 30 years.

Polyamids

Polyamid based low pressure molding materials are unmatched in their simplicity, performance and value. In three easy steps, even the most delicate of electronic devices and PCBs can be encapsulated, sealed and protected.

Material provides excellent adhesion, superb temperature and solvent resistance, with low application pressure in process. Materials are peelable and mess-free alternative to conventional potting techniques.

Metal parts

Tin plated copper or brass contact parts are used in all EFLA products.  To ensure adequate contact pressure all sockets are supplied with a copper beryllium sleeve type spring.

The EU directive No 2002/95/EC prohibits or restricts the use of restricted materials in electrical equipment. Based on the declarations of our suppliers and the fact, that we don’t use any of these materials to our products, we can declare that all of our products are designed and manufactured according to the requirements of the EU ROHS directive. Please contact our factory if a declaration of conformity is required.
